I found this vase yesterday at the Salvation Army shop for about 40 usd.
As you can see on the first photo, it has been very crudely "mended"- the silver overlay has loosened at some point and some previous owner has tried to fix it with glue.
What to do whith this beautiful vase?
The glue is falling off in flakes, and the glass underneath appears to be undamaged.
The glass is so beautiful, it's iridescent and resembles the wings of a butterfly, or the feathers of peacock. The colours appear different depending on the light circumstances- it goes between deep blue, purple and green. I love how the silver overlay corresponds with the shape of the vase!
And, any suggestions of who made it?
Thank you so much DrFluffy for loving it!!
I'm thinking possibly Poschinger...but just a guess!..and I'm sure someone will correct me and tell you..hopefully!...:-)
