Sapphire pendant I came accross. Do not know if it is white gold or silver setting. Has no visable markings to indicate what metal the setting is. I beleive it to be natural blue sapphires.

You have been very lucky in having this peice but sorry i cannot help you.
A gemologist would need to look at them under a loop . No one could say by a photo But it is very beautiful ! I would take to a local jewelry store and have them look at it . Sterling or white gold would be hallmarked on it . They can also test metal it is made of . Try the magnet test if it is silver it will not stick to a magnet as I have been told if a mixture of material will make it attach to magnet . ? No expert here there are some on CW that will come online and maybe tell you more :-)
Manikin, thank you for the reply..
Very pretty, they could also be Iolites but again take to gemologist. NAND it would be helpful to take a picture of hallmarks and the back of any jewelry. I am in the business.

I may not be able to help you but I learnt something about silver not sticking to a magnet looks like I will have to keep one in my bag of trick when I go looking around. Thank you
