So I was out riding my motorcycle recently and came home with this antique table. I had no intentions of buying anything that day. I was just out riding on some back roads that I'd never been on before. As I was coming into a little town on my way home, I saw a big yard sale. I figured I'd just stop and look. Didn't see anything that caught my eye until I saw this table at the end of the yard. I almost didn't ask how much she wanted for it because I figured she'd want a lot for it, and I also wouldn't be able to get it home since I was on my bike. But, I asked her anyway. She only wanted $5 for it because of the condition it's in. The top laminate is starting to come up, but some glue and properly placed clamps with take care of that. It has a couple other minors things wrong with it but easily fixable. I always have some bungee cords in my saddlebag, so I bought it. And surprisingly, was able to get it solidly strapped down to the bike. I had about another 30 miles to get home. Nobody made any comments at any of the traffic lights, and I made it home with the table in one piece. It has that nice, old smell to it that I like in old furniture. I blame my sister for getting me interested in old tables. They make for nice pieces of furniture though.

LOL. I'm just glad it wasn't a dresser or something!

It's a Suzuki Boulevard. It's been a great bike. Rode it to Sturgis and back last year. 4,411 carefree miles on that trip. Except for the flat tire on the first day. :)

That was my first major trip. I live in Charleston, SC and would really like to do a coast to coast ride one day.

I hit the LOVE button because I sneezed. Just joking. So there are 2 table-top Suzuki's out there? Sorry jonima, you collector's value just got cut to half!

      But....but.....
And there's a joke there about hitting the love button when you sneezed, but I'll leave that one alone.

Thank you JayHow. I try to please & when I see an opening, I try to fill it. Seems to have flown over jonima's head though. Surely jomima, you have been around long enough to know my sick humour! There are very few things that I can't find humour in. A crack in the vinyl, and I'm there. Have no humour, - you aren't living. I enjoy CW and playing with people's heads & wish to thank the staff for putting up with my antics & posters most of all. I love the site. Interesting items & keeps the mind active.

Hey jonima, I was just pulling the tag hanging out of your briefs! Getting serious is the biggest mistake people make!

That's it. I'm going to bed.
