Left to Right: Decca SXL 2011 Ansermet, 2012 Fjelstad, 2015 Argenta, and 2016 Knappertbusch. These are all Original Wide Band Grooved Labels and the earliest pressings as identified by the blue border on the rear of the covers. SXL-2012 is one of the great recordings of the era, produced in 1960. All of these records are highly sought after by audiophiles and collectors.
Try to make them avaliable on the UK site to, it costs only 0.10 cents to do,
the english like their Decca´s and pay very high prices in uk £
if the label says Original recording by = 1 ED., they pay very high prices if they are in exc - and upwards, for near mint & mint the sky sets the limit, i have seen prices of 4-500 uk £ for a near mint SXL 2017 The Firebird, Ansermet, The SXL 2011 & SXL 2012 are in the same range.
I got the above Records in London´s, and they are very good , i am considering selling of my Decca´s, to extend my London collection, the covers are more solid on London´s, the early Decca´s i own seem to have very soft cover´s, they have to handled very carefully not to destroy the covergrade, i find this to be a small problem.
By the way i have seen Columbia SAX 2323 with Kogan, go for 1040 £ on the Ebay UK site, i know Clifford4 who sold it, and he was very happy with the sale.
So try my tip for auction it might pay out well, and you will be able to get more missung records, thats how i do it, i am not a rich person , so i have do with, what i got in hand :-)
Thanks for the advice. I did not know about ebay-uk. The only downfall I can think of is the shipping charges from the uk to the us. Of course for an expensive record, the shipping costs are a secondary consideration. I put a reel tape up today just to get a feel for listing there. I posted 4 more decca discs but somebody (moderator?) deleted them saying I was advertising for sale (which I clearly was not)... I emailed for them to explain but have heard nothing so far...
Happy Listening !!!
