This Navajo Native American Doll was given to me by my aunt over 40 year ago. It is made with real human hair, real velvet and real Navajo beads. I'd like to know how old it is.

I'd also like to know if it was made by Navajo Native Americans, which is what I was told. Thank you.

I'm not sure of the age of your doll, but I do have two very similar ones that were made in the 1980's. They were purchased in Colorado Springs but am unsure of which tribe they are from. I'll post some pics for you tomorrow and maybe you can tell me what you think.

Your tourist made doll which appears Navajo made I would say dates to 1950's . She was made as a decorative piece for tourists . I remember seeing these as I crossed USA every year by car on route 66 in New Mexico area . Nice keepsake :-))
