My Dad bought this lamp from a shop in So. Jersey some time in the 60's. The original globe wasn't with it, so he had a local artist paint the globe to match the porcelain inserts. I believe the metal to be bronze. It can extend higher from the middle, with a stop to hold it to the height you need. It is quite ornate from top to bottom, with it's sea creatures and large scalloped shells.
Really too ornate for American lamps of the time....I would imagine a Continental European provenance. Any markings on the thumbwheel of the burner? RER(BOB)
I looked on thumbwheel, but didn't see any markings. Thanks for your help.
Please email me when there is another comment or question about the lamp, thank you, froggie
