      That's a new movement configuration to me. Looked through a few books and I can't match it up with any diagrams.

      It's a Swiss pin-lever escapement from Baumgartner.

      Not sure about Baumgartner; it's a pretty typical "Roskopff" style pin-lever, similar to millions that have been made since the late 19th century. Most of the "early" character watches were made by Ingersoll/Waterbury, but the movement does seem more "swiss" then that.

      Most diffidently not and Ingersoll, The general construction is as tempusfigit has pointed out. I was wondering when asking about this piece if it might have been a Sheffield, but this movement soon changed my mind. I have the "Bayard" marketed style, looking for comparison
