These are a box of puppets with metal holders. I know nothing about puppets, they come with a wooden show box thing with diffferent back grounds, on the back of the box it has

I just want to know if they are worth keeping in the box, or could i display them without worry that they may get ruined with my children.

slovak language one word is year produced (rok vyraby) , Czechoslovakian or anyplace that speaks Slovak should be able to read rest . I would say it is from a fable from the area and I would not take out of box it is their stage . Very cute

Does not say who they are protraying as characters or what year made ?
It doesn't say anything else.... but if your saying that rok vyraby is the year produced there is a 1990 after that.... would that be the year? That doesn't make it very old and it looks and feels very old, the puppets themselves seem much older than that?
Then it was made in 1990 . That is 23 almost 24 years old so not new . I have a hard time seeing detail of faces kind of blurry and upside down . Are you in US ? These may have been sold over sea's . I am thinking they are from a story book tale puppets . I have seen some similar made in Mexico but not same quality . I would think date is right for them . But I think they would be very collectible .
