This looks like a 1910 or so flat top trunk. It is a common style for the time. The lithograph is very lovely and seems to be in good condition. The end caps for the handles are stamped metal although it is hard to tell because of the paint. I would think the covering to be painted canvas if it is not tin. It is most fun to restore if it is canvas. To remove all the paint would be a BIG job but also a well deserved reward should you decide to take it on. Maybe the T-mon is on his way.

You pretty much got that down trunkingforfun. First time I have come across a trunk with the same lithograph as one in mine! (no longer posted as I have it for sale) Great to see the original trunk label inside. Pretty sure this one would be canvas covered and not leather which makes the refinishing pretty easy except for the other painted parts. What else would you like to know about it?
