16" bisque (?) doll, given to me as a child about 1960. I remember the box identified her as an Italian child. She walks and swivels head; eyes move back and forth. Believe her eyes closed also, though no longer. She said "mama" but the voice no longer works. No identifying marks visible
Can anyone give me info about her? Thank you so much!
Yes she is made in Italy by Bonomi , She has Flirty eyes ( eye's that follow you " She is not bisque but a very high quality polystyrene, a hard plastic material . Very nice ! Here is one like her you can watch . They made some excellent dolls I will post my Fashion one they made which is very sought after . Yours is a toddler . Love her

Thank you for your information and nice comments! It's fun to learn about her.
BTW your doll is in near mint condition all original so much better than the condition of the one on link . Italians generally Buy Bonomi and Ottolini dolls for a premium price when in such beautiful condition. I of coarse hope your saving her to keep in family and pass on to someday . I never had such beautiful well made dolls as a child .You were lucky :-) Mystery is solved you can click it so I don't have to look through which ones need to be solved still ok I would appreciate it . And nice to meet you .
Oh one more thing if you store her place face down so eyes don't fall back into head ok .
Thanks for telling me about the mystery solved button. Nice to meet you both and am so deeply grateful for all your info, including re condition. Will store her as suggested. What an amazing site!
Your very welcome and glad to have you with us anytime and browse some collections also we post :-)
