Picked this up at an antique store today for $30...thought it was a really cool piece from my area (New England). Made of tin, old, label is faded. Pretty tall- taller than an umbrella stand. We bought it to display some vintage sports equipment in the corner of a room. A web search yielded nothing except labels and a couple crates. Anyone know anything about these barrels- dates, when they were used, why there are not many around, etc? thanks!
