I received this doll around the years 1973-1974 from my grandmother.
Just looking for any information about the doll please. The doll is not porcelain but her eyes open and close.

Hi Does she have any numbers or letters on back of neck or her back ? She is a 1950's into very early 60's doll. There were many with a face similar to her's. Some were grocery store dolls , you bought at grocery store . She appears to have a vinyl head and rubber body or is body hard plastic I can't tell from photo . It is always easier to ID a doll undressed because body construction helps us to determine maker also . Can I see her feet are they high heel and also will confirm if she has a rubber body that helps ID her . There were several companies that made dolls that look like her during that era .
I will await your reply and what a great heirloom to have passed on to you . She looks in excellent condition . They are common to find like on ebay but each one is a treasure and one to be passed on it was the era of bride Dolls and fashion dolls coming to market instead of baby dolls . And every girl wanted a Bride as I believe she may have been just missing veil .

Thank you for the reply. I have uploaded 2 additional photos. She doesn't have any numbers on her neck but does have the letter 'L' on her lower back. It appears to be a rubber body. I do have the veil and a necklace for her.
I appreciate the information. Look forward to any additional information you may have.
She is a treasure to me and will be passed down to my daughter.

Hi Thank you :-) Yes her body is made of rubber . It is not unusual for these to be unmarked , they often had their name on a box and company name , She has the look of a Deluxe Reading Co doll and a few more like Sayco ect. These style bodies of rubber were done by many companies so the exact one would be difficult to know . They were advertised as unbreakable ,washable and she likely had on box something like "The most beautiful Bride " and no name . I am going to show you a few links to similair dolls for reference . Again she is in wonderful condition and was well taken care of , The years I gave you to date her above would be correct with new photo's.
