ok,.sidewinders were originally in hunters style cases,...(( with the pop open lid?) and the cases were often times made of gold,..well the cases got sold out from under the movement and it was popped into a less expensive silver or nickel alloy case( happened to a LOT of em,..price of gold is HIGH and the movement while damn cool,..isnt. the neat thing is it got put into a nice case and its still a watch! ive got a couple of realy neat fusee movements from england and there isnt any standard sizes on em,..so its imposible to find a case for em,..lil orphan pocket watch movements so sad,..if yoiu can open the back and post the serial number off the movement,..we can give you a lot more info,...it either has a litle spot to pop it open with your thumbnail,..or will unscrew by hand ,,...gently gently,..looks liek the back should unscrew
thanks, tried to unscrew back but wouldn't budge. i'll take it to a jeweler and get the serial#.....can you tell by the face how old it is? jon
