How did it get hammered, have you been making home brew?
On a more serious not, you call it hammered aluminum, is that because of the name.
Aluminum pots that have a thick wall are cast aluminum.
The roaster being of thinner material is done in a process called deep drawing.

Hi David. Honestly I do not know. The seller on ebay had them advertised that way. You would think that I would have learned my lesson about doing a copy & paste. Because I usually get corrected on here. LoL
