Hey bradleydolly, Your composite type "kerosene" lamp was illustrated in a 1885 Henry & Nathan Russell Catalog Supplement. The advertisement reads as follows: Mod. 9950-1/2.. Decorated Centre, Roughed Fount, 11-1/2 inches high, with B Hinge Cone Burner and B Parlor Decorated Chimney. $17.00 per dozen.
This information is found on page 215 of "OIL LAMPS, The Kerosene Era in North America" by Catherine M. V. Thuro, Copyright 1976.
I love H&N Russell lamps and run across them often. Thanks for posing!
Thanks so much for the info! I've been wanting to know about it's history since I got it!
No problem bradlyedolly! It always fun to share information with others. I'm hooked on researching antiques lamps and old glassware. I look forward to seeing more of your items. Welcome to CW as well!
I had the exact same "Pottery" stem lamp that had a flow blue decoration instead of the pink showed here. BOB
Found out this kerosene lamp is from the 1890's =)
