I bought this little guy not too long ago off of Ebay. I also have another lamp without the apparatus as well. Both won on auction. The apparatus is dated 1894. Really neat piece of history!

I had a few of these and even had the bottle of Cresolene that was used. It stunk so bad, I had to keep it in the garage. You are fortunate to have all of the pieces. Very nice find.

"Cresolene is a dark liquid with a pungent smell made from coal tar used in the 19th and early 20th century as a disinfectant[1] and to treat various ailments such as colds and measles. There was also a special 'Vapo-Cresolene' lamp used to heat the substance so that the fumes could be inhaled." - Wikipedia
