    I got this little find on Ebay not too long ago.
    It is made of glass and brass.
    It is from the 1890's
    APROX 8" TALL
    Would love to know more!

      Is it drilled right through the bottom of the font with a notch on the base for an electric cord? If yes, then it is an electric lamp that looks like an oil lamp and was made in the 1940-60's time period. There is no burner connection (collar) on old oil lamps that are welded closed or made like this. Crimped Eblings collars were made like this but were threaded not sealed. This looks like a one piece electric collar. There are some burner attachments that can be used to electrify old Oil lamps. RER(BOB)
