The addition of the imitation bronze w/patina piece to my collection highlighted for me the fact that the glass artists at Harrach were experts at not only accentuating the beauty of glass, but also exploiting its versatility to the point of disguising it to look like other materials. To this end, they were not the only, or even the first company to do it (Egermann in the mid 19th century and Loetz in the late 19th century come to mind), but in the glass factory in Neuwelt, they were very, very good at it. The examples here:

    1. Stone
    2. Porcelain
    3. Earthenware
    4. Clockwise, from the top: Stone, Earthenware, Bronze, Porcelain

Dates range from 1880s to about 1900.

Sean, that's Harrach's version of Marmoriertes glass, similar to that done by Loetz at about the same time.
