Here's an old, German Reich waffle iron that I got in Germany. I actually forgot about it until I found it in a box I was going through. I see some people online saying that it's cast iron. It's much lighter than cast iron though. I believe it's cast aluminum. It's been well used. Ritter is the name of the company and D.R.G.M. is for Deutsches Reichsgebrauchsmuster. The abbreviation was used from 1891-1952 and was basically a copyright protection.
