This is from my doll collection that my mother had from the 1950's. My father bought many of these dolls in Spain for her. I do not know the maker on this doll - it appears to be either Roldan, Klumpe, or Nistis. The accordian has come unglued from one of his hands.
Haha, not a simple accordion player, but a Tuno :) I guess the wikipedia can give you a more understandable definition of what a Tuno is: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tuna_%28music%29
Thank you SOOO much! I find this so interesting. I will print out the info and keep it for my little doll "history/info" I am keeping for my collection. Many thanks!
Appears to be a Klumpe , austro wow your a great help . I would never have guessed not a accordian . Thanks for all the info !
Well, it is an Accordian player after all, but the tuno things makes it sooooooo Spanish! :) By the way, tunos are now an "endangered species" even if some univeristies -such us Santiago and Salamanca- keep on promoting them... If you talk to anyone around or younger than 45 -my own age- they will surely loath them... even if they come from a centennary tradition!
Great info Austrohungaro - Appreciate this so!
