This is a 1968 series of semi-postal stamps issued in West Germany representing "19th Century Dolls"- (Semi-postals) are postage values with surcharges added for cultural donation and are denoted by a "B" # in the Scott Catalogs. - Wohlfahrtsmarke (Welfare Stamp) - Issued Oct. 3, 1968

STAMP #1 - Scott# B438 - "Circa 1878 Doll" - 10 pfennig + 5 pfennig
STAMP #2 - Scott# B439 - "Circa 1850 Doll" - 20 pfennig + 10 pfennig
STAMP #3 - Scott# B440 - "Circa 1870 Doll" - 30 pfennig + 15 pfennig
STAMP #4 - Scott# B441 - "Circa 1885 Doll" - 50 pfennig + 25 pfennig
** The surtax was used for Independent Welfare Organizations
- All four stamps are in MNH OG (Mint No Hinge, Original Gum) condition
Dolls depicted on the first three stamps are in the Germanic National Museum in Nuremburg. The fourth doll is in the Altona Museum in Hamburg.
