Hi,
Your clock's figurine is very well known in Germany as the "Uhrenträger" (the clock peddler). The clock is a reproduction of older 19th century versions and was made in Germany as a novelty in quite recent times, the 1970's, perhaps.
Regards.
In the Black Forest in Germany the clocks were sold by men who carried up to 20 clocks with them. They went to go to farmers to try to sell the Black Forest clocks. These tiny clocks are figurines of the Black Forest Clock Peddlers. It was a tough and dangerous job (they sometimes had a lot of money with them so they were a good target for robbery).
These clocks are sold here in Europe for around 100 US Dollars (when in working order).
