This has been hanging in the kitchen for years. I was told it was for weaning a calf. Looks like it would do the job.

I've never seen one like that before, most just had a flap that hung down above the nose that wouldn't let them latch on to the cow. With this one the calf probably got a swift kick from the cow when those prongs poked her udder.
