Does anyone know who might be in this picture with Walt Disney ?
This is a photo of Walt Disney taken back in the 50's.
I have taken this along with other prints to the Hidden Treasures when it was in Pittsburgh Pa. @ the Heinz Museum , and there they checked the paper and prints and verified that it's from the time in the 1950's when the making of Disneyland was being built.
The other prints that are in the album are of what the layout was going to be in Disneyland in Anaheim California before the actual park opened up.
The size of these prints are : 12" x 16" they are not like a small snap shot.
Their is 33 pics in all 23 of Disneyland a 10 of the photos of people and animals being built for Disneyland.
Each page has the Disneyland logo on them, also please note that the date you see on the picture is the day I tried using my camera to take pictures myself for insurance coverage,
You can email me and if you are interested I will send other photos, lace87_99 at yahoo com.
This was an album put together and given out to bankers to invest in the grand opening of Disneyland in Anaheim, California in 1955.
I have pics. of the album cover, the plot plans which also include the date, some rides that were going to be in the park, Frontierland in Magic Kingdom ect. 33 in all.
The pic of the plot plan is the one with the date if you enlarge the pic and look to the lower right side just behind the date from my camera you will be able to see the date, also the artist name Marvin A. Davis.
Here is some more info about the artist and where it can be found on the net...
This pic was taken back in the 1950's.
I have an album that has several prints in it measuring 12"x16" each one (23) + (10) most are of Disneyland before the actual park in Anaheim Ca. was even opened. I'm told that the album was put together to give to bankers to try and get them to invest in the park.
I have taken the album to Pittsburgh Pa.'s Heinz History Center then they had the people come in to look at items and several appraisers were their.
They new that what I had was old and not many if any at all are out their like this, they had me take it to another room in the museum and they looked over the prints and verified that each one was from that time era. AND YES EACH PRINT IS FROM THE 1950's.
I even have a pic of the layout of Disneyland and in the lower right corner is the date 1955 with the artist's name Marvin Aubrey Davis

Location: Disney Gallery, Town Square - Main Street USA, Disneyland.
In 1937, Marvin A. Davis was hired by 20th Century Fox, working as an Art Director. In 1953, a former co-worker at Fox - Richard Irvine, recruited Davis to work with WED Enterprises and Walt Disney's idea for a new theme park. A gifted architect, Davis became the Master Planner behind Walt Disney's theme park. During construction, Davis refined and developed artistic plans, designing and laying-out Disneyland's overall floor plan. Experience as an Art Director helped Davis understand and incorporate Disney storytelling and forced artistic perspective into Disneyland's construction.
After Disneyland's opening in 1955, Davis became an Art Director with Walt Disney Studios, working on the film Babes in Toyland, and television's Zorro and The Mickey Mouse Club. Davis also won an Emmy for his work on Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color.
In 1955, Davis married Marjorie Sewell, Bill Cotrell's daughter and Lillian Disney's niece. One of Walt's favorite nieces, Marjorie appeared in some early films for Disney, including Alice Gets in Dutch and Alice is Stage Struck. In 1926, Marjorie starred in her own Laugh-O-Gram film, as Clara in Clara Cleans Her Teeth.
Marvin Aubrey Davis retired from the Walt Disney Company in 1975. He was honored as a Disney Legend in 1994. Davis who master planned both Disneyland and Walt Disney World, died on March 8, 1998 in Santa Monica, California. His wife, Marjorie (Sewell) Davis also died in Santa Monica the next year, on Dec 23, 1999.
