This is a Truly Charming Biscuit Jar!
Beautiful and Delicate Looking Florette (a.k.a. Quilt) pattern made by Consolidated Lamp & Glass Company between 1920-1930?
The lids handle is beautifully decorated with highly detailed scrolls, flower and leaves.
The base is made of pink satin glass.
This very detailed design has what looks like fabric wrinkles around each glass button.
The coloring is gorgeous as well, like pink cotton candy.
Measures
8 1/2" tall with lid, 5 1/2" without lid
4 1/8" wide mouth
6" diameter
5 3/4" base
Each quilted section is 2" x 2"
The pattern is called Florette and that is a very nice example with the silverplate lid and it looks monogrammed.
Thank you Scott. I wasn't sure if it was monogrammed or if the letter stood for what the jar was made to be used as.
Aims... Sooo pretty.
Thanks doc. I found shakers like this first but didn't buy them. I didn't want to miss out on this one.
