I have tried to look these up and all I find is gold ones. It's a mystery. The tag inside the box says Authentic coins of Spain. Which I have found just the coins on the internet. And I can't find just a list of "Arts Of The World" I really need some help here. I must be doing something wrong. The cufflinks have the Swank "S" on each one and this is the original box. A nice black box with a gold globe on top. Which I have also found on the internet. But I can't find this box, cufflinks, or a listing of the coins from Spain. HELP PLEASE!
The only Spanish coin with that obverse with a 1959 date would be KM# 790 (10) Centimos - aluminum
I have found the coin but does that date the cufflinks themselves to about that time also. About 1959 ish.
Hard to say but it can't be before it :)
I found this info on a retro cufflinks site - The world's largest manufacturer of cufflinks (Swank) produced a range of collectible cufflinks in the 1960s known as "Arts of the World". Variously described as "limited editions" and "exotic men's jewelry", these were premier productions often priced at four times the price of standard cufflinks of the time. Swank imported the designs (often hand made) from all over the world to incorporate into these cufflinks - including Japanese Toshikane porcelain, Danish Royal Copenhagen porcelain, Italian lava cameos, Spanish Damascene, oriental ivory, Venetian glass, Hong Kong obsidian, hand cut coral, hand carved sandalwood, Italian alabaster, Oriental jade, Venetian mosiacs, Bavarian crystal, Austrian staghorn and French enamels.
