Just received this BEAUTIFUL Candy dish....just love the POP of Color and the satin finish. Not sure of the maker, but would guess Kralik. Anyone want to offer thoughts on a maker?

Czechman posted a beautiful candy jar on CW with the same décor...see link:

and the original tassel, I have only seen those on Welz lidded pieces...this is a first for kralik
    6. jagsrock95 jagsrock95, 11 years ago
Jericho...so you think that the tassel was original to the purchase? added on at the store/importer or added after the purchase by the buyer?

Hey Jagsrock95, I believe what you have is is a Ruckl "Tango Murano" decor. Follow the links below to see the connection.

Here's your shape in a different decor:
      http://www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/75167-ruckl-red-tango-glass-covered-candy-dish

Here's that decor on a Ruckl vase:
      http://www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/68372-czech-spatter-glass-vase

Here's that vase shape attributed to Ruckl in the Tango Exhibit:

This is not a joke. It's not based upon the Truitt II book, Ruckl decor tables, providence marks, or Ruckl catalog reprints. It's live examples. : )

Thank you KS for adding another matching decor / shape in comment 11. The shape Jericho posted above also comes in that decor. Great work!

The glass speaks for itself through the links I provided in comment 8.

Czechman (Gary)...I do see Craig's point. I went back and looked at the pictures I have of the 5 different lidded pieces that are similar and the only two that look to be nearly exact as far as this example are my blue mileifori one and your green mileifori one. Would you be ok if I used that picture beside mine for camparison?

I think that a posting showing the "different" shape in various decors would be more fruitful. That way you could show how the Ruckl red with green and black/purple spatter decor (comment 8 - Link 2) is found on other "known Kralik" shapes like the one below:

      http://www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/50871-ruckl--czechoslovakia-glass-red-tango-f?in=442

Jagsrock95, I look forward to seeing your posting either way and want to thank you for allowing this conversation.

Accepted Kralik mark yes but not proven to be exclusive to Kralik. Deb Truitt stated that roughly 70% of the glass with the arched marking you mention is Kralik. Where is it documented that 100% of the arched mark is Kralik?
    16. jagsrock95 jagsrock95, 11 years ago
charcoal, no problem, the one thing about America is that we are all allowed to have our own opinion and this forum allows us to discuss it in order to prove points, offer opinions, change minds or agree to disagree. Sometimes the discussions get a little heated...lol :) ...but all in all I still believe we can all remain cival in order to bring better understanding to this addictive and wonderful hobby that we all love. (although my wife would disagree, she refers to my glass as "the other woman" or "my girlfriends"...lol)

I should have the examples posted tonight or tomorrow morning.
    17. charcoal charcoal, 11 years ago
Yes, it is my understanding that it was a providence mark used by Kralik. However, it is NOT documented as being an exclusive Kralik marking that I'm aware of?
    18. charcoal charcoal, 11 years ago
Sounds great Jagsrock95. I aimed to answer your attribution question in a peaceful manner. Jericho suggested Kralik but other than that it seemed like nobody had an answer for you.
    19. charcoal charcoal, 11 years ago
I guess I should clarify that the mark attributed to Kralik is often found on Kralik production. The mark in question is not actually documented as "applied by" or "used" by Kralik. Figured I better clear that up as someone like to twist my words.

Here is the shape study I put together.
