Are there any markings on the dial or movement? From what I'm seeing it doesn't look 200 years old. That dial looks 1920s or newer to me. It also looks poorly made. Maybe a kit clock??

      I agree with Nathan.
In order to help identify your clock, please provide the following:
Any and all information printed, stamped or labeled on the dial, movement, case, pendulum and key. This includes names, trademarks, serial/model/patent numbers and dates.

Do you know how often does it need to be re-wound?

Measurements of the dial and case. Please take measurements at the longest, widest, and deepest points only.

Well lit photos of the *entire* case, with close-ups of the dial, movement and any distinctive decorative feature(s) or labels. The stamped "31" on the case is probably not going to be very helpful I'm afraid.

Please note if the case appears to have a simulated or "faux" finish. Unfortunately the "painting" is going to make that difficult.

Any provenance information from the previous owner?

This information will be very helpful, but it still may not lead to a definitive model or date, especially if it is a kit clock as Nathan has suggested that it might be. The previous owner should know something if he's still around to answer questions.

      Good luck.
