I found this amazing 18 carat gold brooch with diamonds and turqoise together with the art deco and the art nouveau pin brooches I posted earlier.
Its Victorian, around 1880-1905. It has a beautiful c-clasp and tube hinge. The diamonds are good quality, they have a lot of life in them. The brooch has a nice wave/ocean motive.
And now the story how I got it:
I arrived very late at a flea market some weeks ago. It was already late afternoon and I was sure I was to late to find anything. Suddenly I spotted this brooch in a jewelry box. The lady who sold it told me lots of people had looked at it but nobody wanted it. At first glance I saw it was gold, so I was really amazed so many people had just put it back.
It cost me 1 euro (about 1,3 dollar), the same price I paid for the two bar brooches and another amazing find I will post later.
I never find gold, there are lots of people better than me in recognizing it, so I was extremely lucky that day.
well done, incredible find :P
