Just received this doll as a gift from my aunt. I know very little about it. She says it may have been a "dancing doll (?)"? She mentioned that there used to be a lace on the shoe to attach to a child's shoe so they could dance together. I don't know if this is true. I'm not sure of the year either. She is about 33.5 inches long. I believe her hair is yarn. Anyone know anything about this doll?
She has a what we call a mask face celluliod doll, And yes she was a doll you could hook your feet through her's and she would walk with you and dance if you wanted to . Dates from very late 1940's into the 1950's . Don't press on her face as they often beame dented . She actually would have had elastic straps on her feet that stretched over your shoes or feet . Several companies made these dolls and she may have had a tag sewn in her seam on body giving company name . Very nice !
oops became dented in ( typo correction)
Here is one like yours

Thank you so much for your help!!!
Your welcome . These came dressed in different clothes by different companies I remember seeing them and even tried one once :-) They worked good . This is as solved as it can get . Unless you look on seams and compnay name shows there . Your doll is dressed very nice for these types of dolls I might add so she was probably more expensive than some others. If her dress was cleaned and pressed she would display wonderfully .
