I bought two these Victorian AF Marks Folding Chairs at an estate sale. They are very well designed and include all original paint scrolling on the frame. New, custom seat cushions make them very comfortable to sit on.
I am intrigued by these chairs. Anyone know what they are worth in today's market.
I would say about $600.00 + $300.00 shipping. lol

Oh, wait.... thats $699, sorry.
Yup, I have two of these. I am selling one and the other one I am keeping. I have seen a mix of valuations and was wondering if anyone knows the actual market value. I only have room for one of these puppies in my house. :)
The cane on my chair is pretty rough shape and, for the one that i am keeping I want to redo the caning. Is it better to have it redone or leave it in its original state?
If you're going to use the chair (I would if it were mine) then I would have the caning fixed. It won't hurt the value as long as you find someone that will do a good job. Very cool chairs!
Hello,
I found in France a folding chair quite the same chair Marks (1876-1897). But only, the rack back adjustment is different!
Is it a copy of the nineteenth century?
If there is an expert for this type of chair, thank you for helping me.
Thanks.
Nicolas
