I was given this about 10 or so years ago and was led to believe its about 80 year old . I think its for beer or cider .

Looks like a wooden cookie jar from the Philippines 1970's.
It's made of clay I think and pretty heavy . There is a tap missing from that opening at the bottom , thats why I think its for beer or such like . Thanks for your comment
I jumped the gun on that one. I meant to ask if it was wood or other, but already pressed send! LoL
