    I am not sure what this was when we seen it, but just HAD (lol) to buy it because it is interesting. I have my thoughts of it being a antique/vintage Indian/Turkish cooker you put coal in and take it to the table to cook at the table, but not positive.

    Can someone help me pinpoint what exactly this is? I would really appreciate it.

      Chinese hot pot (AKA: chafing dish) and relatively recent vintage. I have one very similar purchased in 1970s. Suppose it could also be used by other cultures as well.
