Ivory years ago was an item that many people had for jewelry, it was so in demand that even faux ivory was made out of nuts, plastic, and bones. With close examination you can tell the difference, but some of them are very difficult.
Hi Tamara,
I have enjoyed looking at your collection- real nice. I have a beautiful Necklace with Gold Beads and a Huge Carved Flower mounted on Brass.. would like to sell it but I have no clue as to what I can ask for this item...It has engravings and carved figures...would you be interested in taking a look at it..maybe you can tell me what is worth.....or might know some background on the item?
How can i send you a picture for your review?
Thanks
Fara
Hi Fara! I would love to see it! If it is an older necklace, post it on collectors weekly, let me know when, and I will definitely look at it. Just dont post it for sale. Ivory items are tricky as far as pricing. And they are somewhat dificult to sale because of the ban on ivory.
Thanks Tamara for your response...how do I get a couple of pics to you for review????
Im new here...!
Tamara it's Fara..I was able to figure out how to upload the pics of the necklace..let me know what you think?
Thanks
Fara
