Hi, I found these little hand-shaped cufflinks, the lady I bought them from said she bought them at an antique shop in England in 1948. I cannot determine what they are made from, but when tapped softly together, it sounds "glass." Does anyone have any additional info on these? Much appreciated!
They are as cute as can be . Look to me like made of bakelite.
Hi Mani, good to "see" you again. I haven't been on CW in quite awhile. As always, thank you. I took your advice, I tested it with a little "409." It isn't bakelite, it almost "sounds" like glass when lightly tapped together. : )
Hi Jewels glad to see you again and your precious cufflinks . It has to be a man made material since they seem to be poured but the back of them on one shows varation in color and texture . I think a person has to hold them to tell what they are made of . Hope to see you soon ! :-)
HAHA! Thank you so much Phil! :)
