Purchased this sign and I am trying to find out if it is authentic. Marbles seem to be original. May have been repainted.Very heavy. Seems to be made from iron or steel. There is a number in top right hand corner beginning with a star it reads 51171937. I would truly appreciate any help. Thanks.

Put a magnet to the metal, if it is cast iron and pressed steel it may be original. If it turns out to be cast aluminum than it's a movie prop.

looks legit to me, but the link above seems most helpful.

It might be fake but if it's a movie prop it might be worth something . Put a magnet on it and figure out what kind of metal it is.

Sorry, that's not an authentic Route sign.
