Hello! This is almost as old as Blunderbuss and walksoftly! 1300-1400 from Ica Peru. The Spanish Army defeated Incas there in about 1563! I spent a lot of time in Peru! Great food! Walked Inca trail to Machu Picchu, crossed Lake Titicaca, Nazca Lines, ate cui! (guinea pigs), blue corn drink! (Chica Morado). Coca Tea, Piso! MAYBE this belonged to a Chief, or high Priest, or Very Rich Incan MASCOT collector!!! EH!!! haha The red dye is Cochineal, which is a bug, other colors are vegetable dyes! The bug is now farmed on cactus as great demand for this pretty natural dye! Thanks for looking! Adios! Don I have other paper on this also!
BEAUTIFUL!!!!!
Thank you SEAN !
Your very welcome Don!
You say the nicest things Tora! I made that actually.
You are a great weaver and friend!
Thanks Tora but maybe not such a good weaver. It was supposed to be an athletic supporter but there was a lot of stump-juice & leaves being passed around that day.
I've always loved this, you always remember your first!
B'buss is pulling your leg, I made that to sleep on when I was a baby.
Great story Don! Love the textile...
Peru and Inca trail was special, then you went without a guide! I did not see a spirit but felt one inside! Really!!!
I was there about 82 or 83. I walked with an Aussie and a very tall Dutch man, names were Peter and Erick! thanks!
