This 3 part (candy?) dish is one of the many items I inherited when my grandma passed..it is beautiful, and has gorgeous detailed flowers etched into the cover.. but I would like to know more about it. Of all the depression glass that i have, this is one piece that I am having trouble finding online.. if anyone has a name, description, or rarity of it..please let me know, Thanks so much!
Love it & welcome to CW.
thank you! :-)
might help if you could provide an image clearly showing the etch, as many etches were specific to a single makers
thanks, I will..I just posted what I had in my phone for now..but will add some tonight.. I believe its roses, and the base dish, along with the top has lined dents/ribs..obviously I'm new to this! ;-)
and, believe the rose design is raised..which I think means it was made in a mold??..I have been reading a lot, so I may not be correct on that! ? but thank you!
Very nice! It is wonderful too that it came from your grandma! That makes it more special.
Hi! The blank looks like a Paden City Glass, Green #300 Flat Candy Dish with possibly their "Eden Rose" etching. I can't be sure on the etching since your photo is fuzzy and provides little detail. It would have been made in the 1930's. RER(BOB)
