Not really sure what's the proper name for this piece. It just has Elizabeth Mofett 1902 on it. I believe years ago this was in a box full of things I bought. This was the only thing that I thought was pretty in the entire box. I don't even know if it's old or if someone was trying to make it look that way. It really doesn't matter because I do think it's nice with the red on it.

I may have something that will help to understand what you have. In the early 1900's, my grandmother belong to various different women's and would do voluntee work. The custom was to give a fine piece of glassware with the recipient's name and date in appreciation/recognition for their services. I have a red and clear glass pitcher (like your cup) with my grandmother's name and date. She helped with a banquet to raise money for the troupes prior to the First World War.

I have a glass cup similar to yours and it has a man's name (Lawrence Brown) on it along with World's Fair 1902. I picked it up several years ago at a garage sale. They are very pretty and delicate.

Even though I don't have any "Ruby Red Glass"I have always like them. I have seen them with names and a date.

Also, if you are going to sell it the proper name for the red is "Ruby Stained" so many say Ruby Flash but it is not Ruby Flashed.

your mug is 'Button Arches' by George Duncan's Sons & Co., ca.1897, and continued by Duncan & Miller Glass Co. after 1900. It is Duncan's pattern #39 and was made in an extensive table service. It is ruby stained and this decoration was done by a decorating company; in this case probably Oreintal Glass Co. These were widely used and decorated as souvenir pieces back in the day.
