Do you ever use your mind powers when you see someone holding something you want? "put it down, put it down, put it down" OR " this is not the pottery piece you are looking for"...that one is much more Jedi...
That is what happened to me while at the thrift. I walked up to the household aisle and immediately see this guy, holding this vase. I could tell, he was trying to place it in his mind. I'm confident my mind tricks prevented him from realizing what it was.
He put it down, I was polite enough to let him take two whole steps before I swooped in.
