Wishing all of you an awesome and safe Thanksgiving Week for those of you celebrating. For those of you that are not I wish you the same. : )
I haven't done the mystery game in a while so I thought we could have some fun with this. What is the story on these dolls? I am not able to find anything related to them through my research. Any information would be greatly appreciated like what they would possibly be named and what year they may be from. If they are collectible or not as well or belong in the trash! :) None of them have any writing or markings that I can see.
The largest one on the left is about 29 inches tall to give you an idea of their size. The smaller one on the right is about 19 inches. The three on the left seem to be stuffed with something in their midsections with the other parts being porcelain. The one on the right seems to be a squishy rubber like material.
Thanks for looking as always my friends. Your feedback and input from your vast knowledge is always greatly appreciated and I am so thankful for it. Have an awesome one! :)
3rd doll is a mask face Davy Crockett 1950,s

4th doll is Emmet Kelly Clown doll maker unknown unless it is marked
3rd doll is a what is called a "Mama Doll" 1940's many many companies made these the back of her neck should say who maker was . They were called that because they have a crier in stomach most of the time . I have to look more at number 1 :-)
Oh None are porcelain 2nd doll is composition , 3rd is Celluloid mask face and last is vinyl . Number one is also called a Celluloid mask face doll and he looks like a old character from a TV show .
Awesome Manikin. Thank you. You are the best! :) I had a feeling the first doll is of an old TV character as well. A comedian it seems. And as I am writing this I solved my own mystery. It is Jackie Gleason! As can be seen below. I guess this one is missing his clothes or may be a different variation.

First, thank you for the well wishes electobacco! I hope you have a good Thanksgiving also.
Here is my guess on the story behind these dolls.
This is a line in any airport in the USA heading out on a flight to see loved one for the Holiday. I can see by the expression on the first gent that he is being searched by an overly personal TSA Agent.
The third is a friend of the first gent. He hasn't been on a date in 6 months (seriously look at his outfit) and he can't wait to get patted down by the same agent.
The forth. Well, he is a vintage lapel pin back smuggler and he just felt a pin back pop open in his nether regions.
Have a great holiday everyone!!!
You are awesome Jono. Thank you so much for the laughs. Sweet post! : ) Hopefully I do not run into, or become, any of these characters later this week. :)
electobacco ,You know that was my first thought but the unpainted mouth threw me off . Had he had his jacket and hat on would have helped . I was going to look again when I had rested my eyes and so glad you found him ! I of coarse don't care to dance with him lol .
LOL Jono :-))))) good comment made me smile !
Well done Sis, you hit that one out of the park!
You are right walksoftly. As always the knowledge manikin provides and her willingness to do so is priceless. Grand Slam! :)
