From what I see on Ancestry the info matches official records.
Promoted to Full Corporal on 26 Nov 1862.Enlisted in Company C, Massachusetts 34th Infantry Regiment on 31 Jul 1862.Mustered out on 16 Jun 1865.
After his capture in New Market, VA, he was sent to Camp Sumter (also known as Andersonville Prison), he was lucky to have survived 10 months in there.

Found him living with his father & siblings in the 1860 census. (B 1842)
      Enlisted 14 Aug 1862
      Private
Enlisted in Company A, New Hampshire 10th Infantry Regiment on 23 Aug 1862.
Mustered out on 18 Jan 1863 at Falmouth, VA.

All that I can find on his death is a note saying that he didn't survive the war.
