Hey guys I am new to CW and just wanted to share my can that I picked up in Oklahoma. It is about a foot tall and wide. It says 5lbs on the side and pictures a winged tire and an early racing automobile. I would like to know a little bit more about it but I believe it is European. Thanks!

Must be like 90 wt., but if it doesn't pour, how do you get it out of the can? Grease?

Yeah it is grease with a twist off cap that I cannot get off

Must not have been very good grease if you can't get the cap off.LOL. Try putting an adjustable hose clamp on it & tap around the top of the cap & then twist. If that doesn't work, I've found that an 1/8 stick of dynamite does wonders. You might not have anything left, but I've found that a good bang/boom is a good reliever of stress & frustration. Joking aside, you might try a little heat on the cap.

It says: "Marshall Oil Company U.S.A." (Marshalltown, Iowa) LeRoy R. Willard was the owner in 1910. Marshall Oil buildings and plants were located in Mason City, Iowa, Lincoln, Nebraska, and Oskaloosa, Iowa. I see them as a company into the mid 1920's.

I wonder if "french" was name for their auto cylinder oil? otherwise I see nothing European about it,along with TA's info.
