Loetz Empire, gelb Texas mit Silber, PN II-2580, ca. 1905

This nice Empire vase has graced CW Show & Tell before, but fortunately for me, it has changed hands... to mine. :) And, while I can't improve much (if at all) on Chris's original photos, I can provide a little additional information. Prod. Nr. II-2580, which dates to 1905, is an early rendition of Empire. As you can see from the summarized notes underneath the line drawing, Empire came in different variations of Texas glass (including Blitzglas, which is colorless Texas). This version is gelb (yellow) Texas mit Silber (with silver iridescence). The gelb Texas ground is highly UV reactive. Check out the new Loetz.com website for more variants of Loetz Empire.
