Usually I buy only pieces in excellent condition. I made an exception this time because I liked the craftsmanship of the bracelet. It needs a bit of TLC; one ring is missing and two parts are a bit bent.
This bracelet is not marked and I have a feeling it is not sterling. What material could it be? I am wondering because if it is not sterling, why would someone put so much work into this piece?
Any comment is greatly appreciated.
Thanks for looking:)
Thanks a lot, valentino97:)
Also many thanks, vetraio50 and aghcollect:)
You know, silver is a very practical material to make filigree: its a soft material and its very easy to bent whereas iron and other materials are much harder. So maybe its not sterling but a lower grade silver. But I cant really tell from the pictures. Maybe you could buy a test kit, they are not very expensive and they are fun to work with.
Thanks a lot, Newtimes. I think I will do just that. It wouldn't matter much to me if it wasn't silver, because I got the bracelet because I liked it. But it would be, nevertheless, nice to find out more about it. I really appreciate your thoughts:)
