I bought this candle holder together with the AVeM bird I posted earlier, to my disappointment, they where placed in the same box when they were shipped so when it arrived I got a sinister feeling, and I was right, the base was broken... I think from now on I will give explicit instructions when buying multiple items from one seller at one time. I got full refund for it but I don't think it ever feels right, I somehow feel like I lost more even though it stayed with me and I got my money back...
I like it a lot, I want to believe that it is by Salviati at this point, but I am not completely confident.
Looks great-- too bad about the damage. Refunds never seem to make up for the loss. I had the same thing happen with two early labeled 1930s Venetian figures and a pair of dolphin card holders. They were poorly packed together and arrived in pieces. It was shipped from an AUCTION House that should have known better.

It amazes me that sellers don't think! How could anyone haphazardly pack a glass item...I just don't get it. Really pretty piece.
Some people attributed this to Barovier & Toso. More research is needed.
