While relaxing in and bathing in on the beautiful beaches in Freeport, Bahamas; I was approached by one pf the locals who asked if had interest in basketball. I immediately showed interest and he hurried off to retrieve the items of interest.
To my surprise, he returned with a framed collection of vintage basketball cards from the early '70's. They included Nate Archibald's ALL STAR NBA first team 1972 - 73; Oscar Robertson Milwaukee Bucks; Wes Unseld, center of the Baltimore Bullets; I George Gerwin, a forward guard from the San Antonio Spurs; Lew Alcindor a 7 foot, 1 inch center for the Milwaukee Bucks and the reigning ABA ALL STAR from the second team, the infamous Julius (Dr J) Irving.
These cards are from from an earlier time in basketball history when taller, stronger and faster ball players were recruited in order to make the game what it is today. There two leagues in those days, the National Basketball Associatoion and the American Basketball Association.
I welcome any and all information pertaining to these item
