Here are some of my tourmaline crystals. The first one is a 7.5C green, second two are blue and the last group is an assortment of colors.

Tourmaline is classified as a semi-precious stone and the gemstone comes in a wide variety of colors. The name comes from the Sinhalese word "Thuramali" or "Thoramalli", which applied to different gemstones found in Sri Lanka.

As a teenager, we used to mine this in a small pit in N. AL We didn't find much but the quality was really good. Always happy when we found a crystal. Nice piece this & about the size we would find when we would spend hrs or days finding nothing. Ours were usually a faint green. Good memories of youth. Thanks.
