      These are made of pressed paper. They are used to grip and remove fuses from a fuse box.

      I pulled a blown cartridge fuse with a pair of these one day. I didn't have a spare fuse and thought it was just caused by a power surge. Being resourceful I decided a craftsman deep well socket would work until I got a new fuse. Not only did sparks fly the socket melted quite quickly. I never did that again. I also took the pennies out and put glass fuses back where they belonged.
