This is the same vase which Czechman posted almost a year ago ( http://www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/77545-rare-kralik-art-deco-amber-herringbone-a ), except his has clear foot but mine in the same colors as prunts. Glass on it is thinner than you would expect, and it has very large amount of trapped bubbles which I believe are not intentional.
Really nice! I haven't seen one like this before - the colors are great!
beautiful!!!!
Are those prunts an indicator of Kralik?
Apologies!
Thank You for loves and comments!
Vetraio I'm not really sure, You can see prunts on all kinds of glass, from Venetian to Scandinavian, these are characteristic to Kralik I think.
It's their shape which interests me.
That "S" pinch looks particular, no?
Works well in this bi-colour.
Almost Tango!
maybe... I don't think I saw others doing "s" shape pinch, but Kralik has many kinds of swirly type pinches on their prunts. Yes to my eyes color combo is too very pleasing. Probably it is some kind of experimentation type of thing on tango theme.
here is one PK vase with similar "s" shape pinch on a prunt, so others did it too http://www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/19093-bohemian-vase-16-tall-glasfabrik-eli
Love these because the mix opaque with clear mold blown glass. the marbling stuff gives it extra appeal
so modern so in movement
